NEW ADVENTURES

Brass disc.
Copper disc.

This week the new adventure was inspired by B'sue Boutiques You Tube video on using a Cuttlebug to emboss then colorizing your piece with alcohol inks and sealing the piece with Diamond Glaze.  WOW, what fun and interesting avenues this has opened up for me.  http://bsueboutiques.com

7000 Bracelets Entry

Here is my entry into the 7,000 Bracelets event.  I was inspired by this event, so much so that this is the first piece of jewelry I have made in over 2 months.

The piece has these lovely blue jean sky blue semi-transparent beads, that look like they have stained glass window panes in them, added to that is Czech glass faceted AB blue/pink rounds, complimenting the beads are brass bead caps, daisies, linked together with brass wire and hook / eye clasp.  The bracelet will fit a 7 to 7 1/4" wrist.

WEDNESDAY WONDERFUL

I always think of Wednesday as the hump day, the middle of the week.  Kind of a pause before the last two working days, a kind of a breather.  Taking a breather in the middle of anything is a great way to de-stress any situation and afford yourself a little time to reflect upon that which you are creating.  Now that create could be a jewelry design, or an emotional challenge.

If I am the master of my fate, I truly feel that it is my responsibility to connect to the divine for the inspiration on what to do in my life and my creations.  Doing this brings some very wonderful inspiration ~ those calm blessings of ideas that just take my jewelry creations to the next level.  Also, helps me to see any other challenges I am having in my life with new eyes.

So I encourage you to take a moment, meditate, pray, or breathe in the silence with the intention to connect to all that is and your higher self, knowing that intentional pause you take will enhance all that you do and all that you are.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG ~

Here in the Hill Country of Texas, spring has sprung and there are wildflowers everywhere, in the fields and all along the sides of the roads.  We are in the first blush of flowers, so there are pinks, lavender blues, soft whites and creamy yellow little delicate blooms everywhere.

When I look upon these lovely soft flowers it reminds me of the renewal of all that is around us in nature, come the spring season.  So go outside and bask in the energy of renewal, know you are special and blessed.  AND if you live where Spring has not sprung yet ... know that "If winter comes, spring is not far behind'.  It is coming soon .......

This cuff made about a month ago, reminds me of Spring, it incorporated Swarovski crystal elements, pearls, vintage lucite leaves from Lady Cat Jewels and wonderful German foiled back stones from B'Sue Boutiques.

BLUESY BLUES - Copper Cuff

This cuff was made about a month ago.  It incorporated the most beautiful blue beads, that look like they have little stained glass panes of varied shades of blue jean and sky blue.  Accented the beads and copper cuff with small rice deep golden brown fresh water pearls.

NEW DAY ~

Well, never thought I'd do a blog.  But the 7,000 bracelets blog hop inspired me to start.  Being a Doctor of  Natural Medicine and an avid jewelry designer, the 7,000 bracelets just called to me.

Just a bit about me ~ I've been designing jewelry since 1990 and even had my own full time business with sales reps, employees etc.   Yup the whole magilla.  I still sell my jewelry to local boutiques and do occasional home parties.

So now I split my time between seeing patients and making jewelry, keeps my left and right brain balanced.  Creating jewelry is that place where peace, joy and colorful harmony come together for me ... I also get some of the best light bulb moments regarding challenging cases.

My future blog posts will sometimes be jewelry related and sometimes health related ~ so stay tuned.  I really enjoy sharing, contributing to all whatever I can for a happy, healthier and more creative life.
